Hvězdičková is a small private preschool located directly in the beautiful surroundings of Průhonice Park, just outside Prague.
We provide a warm, respectful and stimulating Czech-English environment where children can feel safe, build confidence and discover the world at their own pace.
Our small group allows us to truly know each child and provide individual attention throughout the day.

Our Preschool
At Hvězdičková, we believe that every child is unique.
Our approach combines high-quality preschool education with Montessori principles, everyday English, creativity, movement and daily contact with nature.
We encourage children to become independent, curious and confident while respecting their individual personalities, interests and developmental needs.
We want children to enjoy coming to preschool – to feel that this is a place where they are known, respected and welcome.
English Every Day
English is a natural part of everyday life at Hvězdičková.
Children encounter English through songs, stories, games, everyday routines, activities and simple conversations.
Rather than teaching English as a traditional lesson, we allow children to become familiar with the language naturally and without pressure.
Children do not need to speak English before joining us.
Likewise, international children do not need to speak Czech when they start. We support them gently as they become familiar with their new environment and gradually begin to understand and use Czech.
Montessori-Inspired Learning
Our educational programme incorporates principles of Montessori education, particularly independence, respect for the child, hands-on learning and freedom to explore within clear and safe boundaries.
Children are encouraged to try things independently, make choices, concentrate on activities and experience the satisfaction of discovering:
"I can do it myself."
Our programme is not limited to one educational method. We combine Montessori principles with modern preschool education, creative activities, music, movement, language development and learning through nature.
Growing Up in Nature
One of the things that makes Hvězdičková truly special is our location.
Our preschool is situated directly in Průhonice Park, offering children an extraordinary natural environment for their everyday childhood.
We spend time outdoors regularly and use nature as a natural learning environment. Children observe the seasons, plants and animals, explore natural materials, move freely and learn to care for the world around them.
The preschool also has its own garden and outdoor play area.
Art, Music / Discovery
Children learn through experience.
Our programme therefore includes a variety of creative and developmental activities, including:

We also offer afternoon clubs and activities. Subject to availability, selected activities may also be open to children who do not regularly attend our preschool.
A Small Group – An Individual Approach
We deliberately keep Hvězdičková small.
A smaller community gives our teachers the opportunity to know each child personally, recognise their individual needs and interests and support their development at their own pace.
For us, individual attention is not an additional service. It is part of everyday life at Hvězdičková.
A Gentle Start
Starting preschool is an important step for both children and parents.
Every child adapts differently, which is why we approach the settling-in period individually.
Whenever possible, the first days can be shorter and gradually extended as the child becomes comfortable with the environment, teachers and daily routine.
Parents are welcome to discuss their child's individual needs with us before starting.

Admissions: Children may join throughout the school year, subject to availability.

We are currently welcoming new children.
You do not need to wait until the beginning of a new school year.
If we have availability, children can join Hvězdičková throughout the year.
Before enrolling, we recommend visiting us in person. Instead of large open days, we offer individual preschool tours, giving your family enough time to explore the environment, meet us and ask any questions you may have.
